Fading emulator for 2G/3G/WLAN/WIMAX and beyond
The Propsim C2 wideband radio channel emulator accurately reproduces real-world propagation phenomena such as multi-path fading, sliding delays, attenuation, path loss, Doppler shift, and shadowing. It also includes integrated AWGN and interference sources for accurate and repeatable S/N and C/I emulation. Propsim C2 enables systematic, repeatable laboratory testing of wireless systems under realistic, time variant conditions.

Propsim C2 incorporates three emulation interfaces – RF, analog baseband and digital baseband. This extends its use throughout the whole product development cycle from ASIC design verification and algorithm testing to conformance testing.

Propsim C2 bandwidth and frequency area supports the testing of any system within these limitations. The channel emulation quality meets and exceeds even the most severe demands from present and future Wi-Fi and WiMAX systems.

Ease of use – Ready made RF –Test Case Connections
Comprehensive library of ready made test cases including standard channel models, C/I and S/N settings simplify the system configuration substantially. These predefined test case templates allow fast and easy creation of new standard based test environments and test cases.

Versatile user interface with graphic elements enable easy creation and modification of any channel model or test configuration. Fading channel characteristics and test connection parameters like C/I or S/N are controlled and modified easily using these elements also while performing the tests.

Propsim FE’s channel model editor enables particular and diverse adjustment of channel parameters. With the impulse response display Propsim FE provides profound and accurate information of the channel characteristics. All this data is also available for later processing to verify test results and DUT behaviour against instant channel states and S/N or C/I –ratios.

Propsim FE with full remote control (GPIB/LAN) compatibility with other Propsim products form a unique R&D test entity that enables friendly parallel usage of different Propsim products within same laboratories/projects.
